Sailing, Surfing, Rowing and Canoeing

Rowing

Water is highly reflective, which can impair your vision and create unnecessary distractions. When participating in water sports, you can also have the added factor of being hit by water spray and very high-velocity winds.  The correct sports eyewear can reduce these effects, improve performance and allow you to enjoy your sport.

It is very important for you to protect your eyes from UV light, as there is increased light reflected from the water.  Children have large pupils and so UV protection cannot be ignored for children.

It is estimated that 80% of lifetime exposure of UV light occurs by the age of 18, as a child’s annual dose of UV radiation is three times that of an adult.
