The technology we use in our Private Eye Care Plan can benefit everyone.
It gives us a clear picture of the health of your eyes and helps us monitor even the smallest changes over time.
The private plan could be particularly helpful to you if you:
• Are aged 60 or over
• Have diabetes
• Have glaucoma or are at a higher risk of developing glaucoma.
NHS or Private Eyecare ? Which is better for me?
You are entitled to a free NHS sight test if you:
- Are aged 60 or under 16
- Are aged 16-18 and are still in full time education
- Are blind or partially sighted
- Need complex lenses
- Have been diagnosed with diabetes or glaucoma
- Are over 40 and have a family history of glaucoma
- Are claiming certain benefits
However, you should be aware that the NHS test is not your only Option. There are better and more technically advanced testing methods available to you, through out private Eye care plan.
I get a Free NHS test, so why would I choose to go private?
Thanks to new technology, the standard of eye care we can offer is now better than ever.
Our latest equipment uses the same advanced technology you would find in a hospital. It can detect abnormalities up to five years earlier than a traditional eye test.
Unfortunately, the NHS funding we receive simply doesn’t cover the cost of providing these advanced screening techniques.
How much does the private plan cost?
Our Private Eye Care Plan is charged at a low fixed fee per calendar month.
Paying monthly makes our plans affordable. You can access all the benefits of your plan and spread the cost over the whole year.
You can also make a significant saving compared to paying for the advanced tests as you go (PAYG).
